BlackBerry Bold

The BlackBerry Bold comes up with wide range of features giving it an edge over the other cell phones available in the market. The cell has a partial VGA display yet it is the sharpest screens one has seen on the smartphone combined with stereo speakers boosting the multimedia experience. The bold series comes up with new BlackBerry operating system, latest productivity applications and also supports HSDPA, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. It is available at a slightly pricey price of $299.99 along with two-year contract. At a first time glance on the set you wouldn’t say “sleek”, “stylish” or “cool”.  It is bulky and wide in built and not a good fit for pockets. The dimension includes 4.5 inches high by 2.6 inches wide by 0.6 inches deep and weighs 4.8 ounces.  It has a black chassis along with silver trim and rounded edges to give it a streamlined design. It has 480X 320 pixels resolution and boasts a 2.75 inch half VGA non-touch screen. Under the display one shall find standard navigation controls including talk and end/power keys, a back button, a menu shortcut and a trackball navigator. The phone is wider in size and thus the buttons are large and easy to access. It also has QWERTY keyboard whose buttons are spacious giving a comfortable feel while typing. Overall the phone is good buy with some flaws but otherwise has good and clear voice quality and decent speakerphone. It is rated to have 4.9 hours of talk time.
